Apple TV+ Renews Post-Apocalyptic Drama ‘Silo’ for a Second Season

Just ahead of its season finale, it has been announced that Apple TV’s critically-acclaimed post-apocalyptic drama “Silo” has been renewed for a second season. “Silo” is based on Hugh Howey’s novels, and was created for television by “Justified” creator Graham Yost.

“We cannot wait for audiences around the world to immerse themselves in the epic world we have created to bring Hugh Howey’s novels to life,” Yost said of the second season renewal. “Apple has believed in our vision from day one and it’s an honor to have the opportunity to dig deeper into this story and peel back the layers to our characters in the silo.”

Rebecca Ferguson, who stars in “Silo” as an engineer turned sheriff trying to learn the secrets behind the mile-deep structure everyone lives in. Ferguson also executive produces alongside Yost and Howey,

“It has been enormously fulfilling to see the engrossing, atmospheric and beautifully crafted sci-fi epic ‘Silo’ quickly become Apple’s number one drama series,” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+. “As audiences around the world have become gripped by the mysteries and conspiracies buried within this fascinating subterranean world, viewership only continues to climb, and we are so excited for more secrets of the silo to be revealed in season two.”

The first season of “Silo” is currently streaming on Apple TV+. New episodes will appear until the season finale on June 30, 2023.
