Appleās upcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will boast frosted back glass, like the existing iPhone 14 Pro models, says a Weibo post from last week. The post came from the same account that accurately said Apple would release a Yellow iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus with a frosted glass back would make the lower-priced iPhones look more like the Pro and Pro Max models. While the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to gain a new titanium frame, along with thinner display bezels, the two standard models will still sport an aluminum frame and the same bezel size as current models.
Apple has traditionally made features that were initially exclusive to the high-end Pro models also available on the lower-end iPhone models. Initially, OLED displays were only available on iPhone Pro models until the release of the iPhone 12 lineup. The Dynamic Island feature which is currently an iPhone 14 Pro-only feature will likely expand to the entire iPhone 15 this year.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 15 lineup in September, which is the traditional month for iPhone debuts.
