Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman says Apple’s upcoming watchOS 10 should be a “fairly extensive upgrade” for the Apple Watch, delivering “notable changes” to the Watch user interface. Gurman did not provide any details about the specific changes he expects. Gurman’s comments came in his latest weekly newspaper.
Gurman also added that he expects only modest hardware changes for the new Apple Watch models coming later this year.
Apple will likely unveil watchOS 10 at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC23), scheduled for June 5 through June 9. Apple is also expected to debut iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, and tvOS 17. Unlike some other analysts, Gurman continues to expect to see Apple’s long-rumored AR/VR headset and its xrOS operating system make an appearance at WWDC.
Apple last week seeded its latest round of betas, including macOS 13.4 for the Mac lineup. Gurman said Apple will add support for new Macs in macOS 13.4. New Macs are likely to see a May release to the public. A new Mac Pro with an M2 Ultra chip and new MacBook Air models with an M3 chip has been rumored.
