Apple on Wednesday seeded the first public beta of macOS Ventura 13.3 to public beta testers. The first developer beta was released on Tuesday.
Registered Public Beta Testers can download and install the macOS Ventura 13.3 public betas through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences after installing the proper profile.
Mac users who want to be a part of Apple’s beta testing program can sign up to participate on the Apple Beta Software Program website, which gives users access to iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS betas.
Like the iOS 16.4 and iPadOS 16.4 betas, macOS Ventura 13.3 brings new emoji characters that include shaking head, pink heart, blue heart, gray heart, donkey, moose, blackbird, goose, wing, jellyfish, hyacinth, pea pod, ginger, fan, comb, flute, maracas, left hand, and right hand.
It also supports updating to the new HomeKit architecture. The Messages app now supports content previews for shared Mastodon links, and new options in Shortcuts allow the creation of workflows with Siri notification announcements.
macOS Ventura is compatible with the following Mac models:
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
