Apple Seeds macOS Ventura 13.3 Release Candidate to Developers and Public Beta Testers

Apple on Tuesday seeded the macOS Ventura 13.3 Release Candidate to developers and public testers. The new RC comes one week after the release of the fourth macOS Ventura 13.3 beta.

The developer RC of macOS Ventura 13.3 can be downloaded by developers through the Apple Developer Center and once the correct profile is installed, succeeding betas will be available through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences.

Registered Public Beta Testers can download and install the macOS Ventura 13.3 RC through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences after installing the proper profile.

Mac users who want to be a part of Apple’s beta testing program can sign up to participate on the Apple Beta Software Program website, which gives users access to iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS betas.

Like the iOS 16.4 and iPadOS 16.4 betas, ‌macOS Ventura‌ 13.3 brings new emoji characters that include shaking head, pink heart, blue heart, gray heart, donkey, moose, blackbird, goose, wing, jellyfish, hyacinth, pea pod, ginger, fan, comb, flute, maracas, left hand, and right hand.

It also supports updating to the new HomeKit architecture. The Messages app now supports content previews for shared Mastodon links, and new options in Shortcuts allow the creation of workflows with Siri notification announcements.

macOS Ventura is compatible with the following Mac models:

  • iMac 2017 and later
  • Mac Pro 2019 and later
  • iMac Pro 2017
  • Mac mini 2018 and later
  • MacBook Air 2018 and later
  • MacBook 2017 and later
  • MacBook Pro 2017 and later

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
