Designer Envisions What a ‘iPhone Ultra’ Might Look Like

Apple is rumored to be mulling over a new top-of-the-line iPhone, which is being referred to as the “iPhone Ultra.” Where there are rumors, there are renders, and the Ultra is no exception.

German industrial designer Jonas Daehnert has come up with a set of beautiful iPhone Ultra renders, which look to be the offspring of the Apple Watch Ultra with a smaller imagined iPhone Pro model, which he describes as “12mm+ thick – the Ultra concept.”

Daehnert’s titanium iPhone chassis features rounded edges with a flat upper rim that sits flush with the display. Protruding Side and Volume Up/Down buttons are on the site. The chassis is a bit thicker, indicating a larger internal battery.

Daehnert’s concept also includes a ruggedized Ring/Silent switch, a programmable Action button on the lower-left side, and a USB-C port located on the bottom.

“I have no idea about all the leaks,” Daehnert said when sharing the concept on Twitter. “It was just an exercise to see if it’s possible to adapt the Watch Ultra design language.”

According to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, such a device would be part of the iPhone 16 lineup or later.
