As noted by MacRumors, Apple appears to be preparing an iOS 16.3.1 update for the iPhone. The site says its website analytics logs show visits from devices running the update. The update will likely be available sometime this month.
Minor updates like iOS 16.3.1 are typically focused on bug fixes, stability improvements, and security patches.
The news comes as we await the first beta of iOS 16.4. There are several previously-announced iOS features that haven’t yet made a showing, including Apple Pay Later, an Apple Card savings account option for Daily Cash, and more.
MacRumors says it has seen evidence of both iOS 16.4 and iOS 17 in its website’s analytics logs in recent weeks. iOS 17 is expected to be unveiled at WWDC in June.
