Apple industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says we can expect to see a new iPad mini in 2024, with mass production set to begin during the first quarter.
Kuo tweeted earlier today that “There may be no new iPad releases in the next 9-12 months as the iPad mini refresh is more likely to begin mass production in 1Q24.”

Kuo said in December that Apple is preparing a new version of the iPad mini, with mass shipments expected to begin in late 2023 or early 2024.
Kuo said the main selling point of the new iPad mini will be a new processor, suggesting that the device will receive only a minor feature bump. The current iPad mini debuted in September 2021 and boasts an A15 Bionic chip, an 8.3-inch display, a USB-C port, a Touch ID power button, and 5G support on cellular models. The iPad mini’s pricing starts at $499 in the U.S. for the 64GB model.
Kuo also said today that he expects to see an “all-new design foldable iPad” as the next big product launch in the iPad lineup, with no other major iPad releases in the next nine to 12 months. The analyst said he was “positive” that the foldable device would arrive in 2024.
