A new Apple TV+ promotion allows non-subscribers to get a free taste of the entire first season of some of the streamer’s popular series, offering a free look at the first season of “Ted Lasso,” “Prehistoric Planet,” “Bad Sisters,” and others until January 3, 2023.
While you won’t need an Apple TV+ or Apple One subscription, you will need an Apple ID. Just log into the Apple TV app or into Apple’s TV web app. While Apple will prompt users to sign up for a free trial or to subscribe for $6.99 per month, the dialog box can be ignored for now. After clicking through, just navigate to one of the shows listed below and start streaming.
Available shows include the entire first season of “Bad Sisters,” “Ted Lasso,” “Prehistoric Planet,” “Trying,” and “The Morning Show” until January 3. I can strongly recommend trying “Bad Sisters” and “Ted Lasso,” my wife and I love those two series. I especially like how “Bad Sisters” handles flashbacks, every show should be required to do the same thing in the future.
Currently, the Apple TV app is available on the following non-Apple devices, the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV streaming sticks, Roku TVs, and select smart TVs from LG, Samsung, Sony, and Vizio.
