Large crowds queued to attend the opening of the new Apple Store at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey on Saturday. Shoppers on Grand Opening day received a specially-branded tote bag.
Apple opened the Apple American Dream store in East Rutherford, New Jersey at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 3.
In a video shared on Twitter by Gregory McFadden, shoppers lined up around the balcony and across the building to get into the store.
The free tote bag featured a rainbow-lined Apple logo, the same one used for the promotion of the store’s opening, as seen at the top of this article.
The storefront is based on Apple’s most recent design for its retail space, which includes a dedicated pickup area for online orders. The mall store also offers Genius Bar appointments to customers and will also hold “Today at Apple” sessions.
American Dream is one of the largest shopping malls in the U.S. second in size only to the Mall of America in Minnesota. The three-million-square-foot shopping destination opened in 2019, and along with numerous stores, also includes several indoor attractions, including the Nickelodeon Universe amusement park, DreamWorks Water Park, a year-round indoor skiing and snowboarding resort, and much more.
