Apple Seeds Fourth Beta of macOS Ventura 13.1 to Developers and Public Beta Testers

Apple has seeded the fourth beta release of macOS Ventura 13.1 to developers and public beta testers. The new beta comes two weeks after the third beta.

The developer build of macOS Ventura 13.1 can be downloaded by developers through the Apple Developer Center and once the correct profile is installed, succeeding betas will be available through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences.

Registered Public Beta Testers can download and install the macOS Ventura 13.1 public betas through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences after installing the proper profile.

Mac users who want to be a part of Apple’s beta testing program can sign up to participate on the Apple Beta Software Program website, which gives users access to iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS betas.

The macOS Ventura‌ 13.1 beta brings the Freeform creative collaboration app. The app can be used for brainstorming, planning out ideas, jotting down notes, and more.

The update also introduces support for an updated Home app architecture.

macOS Ventura is compatible with the following Mac models:

  • iMac 2017 and later
  • Mac Pro 2019 and later
  • iMac Pro 2017
  • Mac mini 2018 and later
  • MacBook Air 2018 and later
  • MacBook 2017 and later
  • MacBook Pro 2017 and later

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
