Microsoft Office to Become ‘Microsoft 365’ in Huge Brand Overhaul

The Microsoft Office suite will soon be officially renamed “Microsoft 365,” in a major overhaul of the product’s rebranding. (Via The Verge).

Microsoft has already been using the “Microsoft 365” brand, as Microsoft renamed Office 365 subscriptions to Microsoft 365 two years back. However, this rebranding will rename Office.com, the Office mobile app, and the Office app for Windows will all be folded into a Microsoft 365 app, “with a new icon, a new look, and even more features,” according to the company FAQ.

The changes will begin rolling out for Office.com in November 2022. And then changes will begin rolling out for the Office app on Windows and the Office mobile app in January 2023. says the company FAQ.

Traditional Office apps like Excel, Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint will all fall under the Microsoft 365 umbrella, in place of referred to as part of Microsoft Office.

Apple device owners will likely see the name change first in the Office iOS app. The Microsoft 365 mobile app will include a new apps module for commonly used cloud-based 365 tools, a central content hub, and a new tagging system for organizing content.

Microsoft will also continue to offer one-time purchases of those apps to consumers and businesses via Office 2021 and Office LTSC plans. Additionally, there will be no changes to Office 365 subscription plans.

If you’re considering purchasing MS Office 2021, don’t miss the opportunity to get it very cheap here.
