Leaker Jon Prosser has repeated his claims Apple’s fourth-generation iPhone SE will feature a design almost exactly like that of the iPhone XR. Prosser posted a video on his Front Page Tech YouTube channel on Wednesdaysharing information about the fourth-generation iPhone SE.
Prosser’s claims do make sense, considering that the first-generation iPhone SE’s design was based on 2013’s iPhone 5S, while the second- and third-generation iPhone SE’s design is based on 2017’s iPhone 8.
As seen in the video, Apple concept graphic designer Ian Zelbo created renders that purport to accurately depict the new device.
In August, Prosser first claimed Apple will base its next-generation iPhone SE on the iPhone XR design. Prosser said at the time his prediction was based on new information from his sources.
Prosser was unclear on the internal specifications of the device. However, the device is likely to use at least some older hardware to keep costs down. The iPhone XR had a 6.1-inch LCD display, while the current-gen iPhone SE has a 4.7-inch display, meaning a change like Prosser claims would bring a bigger screen for Apple’s cheapest iPhone.
