Apple on Tuesday seeded the tenth beta release of macOS 13 Ventura to developers for testing. The new beta comes one week after the release of the ninth beta.
The developer build of macOS 13 Ventura can be downloaded by developers through the Apple Developer Center and once the correct profile is installed, succeeding betas will be available through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences.
The new macOS operating system – which is named after a location in California, not an old Pontiac – brings Stage Manager, which offers Mac users a new way to stay focused on the task in front of them while seamlessly switching between apps and windows, as well as Continuity Camera, which uses your iPhone as the webcam on Mac. Other new features also come along for the ride.
macOS Ventura is compatible with the following Mac models:
- iMac 2017 and later
- Mac Pro 2019 and later
- iMac Pro 2017
- Mac mini 2018 and later
- MacBook Air 2018 and later
- MacBook 2017 and later
- MacBook Pro 2017 and later
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
