Third-party developers are working on apps that take advantage of the new Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, and we’ve seen at least one unique way to use it.
We reported earlier this week about developer Kriss Smolka’s progress on a game that uses Dynamic Island to provide a Pong or Breakout-style gaming experience on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Smolka has finished his project and his game for the Dynamic Island called “Hit the Island.” In the Pong-style game, the goal is to bounce the ball from the bottom of the iPhone’s display up to the Dynamic Island to score a hit.

The free game gives players a point each time they score a hit on the Dynamic Island, which animates every time it is hit.
As simple as it sounds, Hit The Island with the ball and score points.
But wait, there is a catch!
The ball speeds up.
It can get cloned.
Then the paddle shrinks!?
Easy peasy, huh?
Try your skills now and share your high score today!
Let’s see how it goes 🙂
The game is available in the App Store on the iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max as of today. The game is also playable on other iPhones, with a goal of hitting the notch instead of the Dynamic Island.
