Apple today announced that developers can now purchase subscriptions to Xcode Cloud, continuous integration and delivery service that’s built into the Xcode app.
Xcode Cloud subscriptions now available
August 30, 2022
Xcode Cloud, the continuous integration and delivery service built into Xcode, accelerates the development and delivery of high-quality apps. Get started by configuring a workflow in Xcode and receive 25 compute hours per month at no cost until the end of 2023. And now, Account Holders can subscribe for more compute hours in the Apple Developer app.
Xcode Cloud provides cloud-based tools to developers for building apps, running automated tests, providing apps to testers, and managing user feedback.
While Xcode Cloud has been available to developers since June, this is the first time that paid subscriptions have been available. Developers have a total of four monthly plans to choose from.
25 compute hours per month is currently free, but will later cost $15 per month. 100 computer hours per month is priced at $50/month, 250 compute hours per month is priced at $100/month, and 1000 compute hours per month is priced at $400/month.
To use Xcode Cloud, developers will need Xcode 13.4.1 or later and membership in the Apple Developer Program. Developers can get started by configuring a workflow in Xcode. This can be done by the Account Holder, an Admin, or an App Manager. A team member can also do it, with the Developer or Marketing role who has been given access to create app records in App Store Connect.
Additional information can be found on Apple’s Xcode Cloud website.
