As reported by MacRumors, buyers of Apple’s 96W and 140W USB-C power adapters for the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro continue to see significant waits before receiving their purchase.
In the United States, customers are seeing a shipping estimate of 6-8 weeks on Apple’s online store. That means no delivery until as late as October 3. Several other countries are also seeing shipping delays of multiple weeks.
Both of Apple’s high-wattage power adapters have been in short supply for many months. In September 2021, the 96W adapter shipped in 2-3 months. The adapter continues to be in short supply nearly a year later.
During last week’s financial call, Apple said it continued to see supply shortages during the June quarter. However, the company does expect to see the shortages ease during the September quarter.
Customers in search of Apple’s 67W and lower USB-C power adapters will find that they are more readily available.
