Apple TV+ to Finally Include Jon Hamm, as Actor Takes Role on ‘The Morning Show’

The long nightmare is almost over for actor Jon Hamm, the popular actor who once asked Apple TV+ “What about Jon Hamm?” Apple has announced that Hamm, best known for his role in the popular AMC series “Mad Men,” will join the cast of “The Morning Show” for season three.

Back in January, Apple aired an ad for Apple TV+ featuring Hamm as he complained about his lack of roles in Apple TV+ shows and movies. Hamm runs through a list of actors and shows on Apple TV+, making it appear as if everyone by Hamm was working in an Apple show.

Hamm mentioned many of the stars who are appearing in Apple TV+ originals, including Samuel L. Jackson, Billie Eilish, Tom Holland, Chris Evans, Jason Sudeikis, Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Frances McDormand, Jason Momoa, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Mahershala Ali, Octavia Spencer, Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, and Jon Stewart.

“Seriously, I could have done Lasso,” said Hamm, disappointedly.

“With Hollywood’s biggest stars in front of and behind the camera, Apple TV+ has pretty much everyone… but Jon Hamm,” says the video tagline.

On Wednesday, Apple TV+ tweeted that Jon Hamm would finally be joining Apple TV+. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hamm will take on the role of Paul Marks, a corporate titan with his sights set on UBA.

The newsroom drama, which begins production for season three in August, features actors like Jennifer Anniston and Reese Witherspoon as they create America’s number one morning news show.

The John Hamm ad, called “Everyone but Jon Hamm” was nominated for an Emmy for outstanding commercial.

The first two seasons of “The Morning Show” are available to stream on Apple TV+ for paying subscribers.

Apple TV+ is available on the Apple TV app in over 100 countries and regions, on over 1 billion screens, including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac, select Samsung, LG, Sony, and VIZIO smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku devices, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and at tv.apple.com, for $4.99 per month with a seven-day free trial.
