Apple to Boost iPhone 14 Shipment Production to 95 Million Units

Apple has told its supply partners that it is expecting the upcoming iPhone 14 lineup to sell better than originally expected, boosting sales expectations to 95 million rather than 90 million, reports the Taiwan Economic Times.

The report says Apple has told suppliers to increase the number of iPhones it will produce and ship to 95 million units, an increase of 5% compared to the company’s prior expectations.

The report says that research shows the highest-end iPhone 14 Pro Max model will be in the most plentiful supply.

Mass production of the iPhone 14 is expected to begin later this month, as component suppliers have been ramping up component shipments over the last several weeks.

Main Apple iPhone assembly partner Foxconn, is said to have responded by offering greatly increased recruitment bonuses to iPhone workers as mass production kicks off.

The ‌iPhone 14‌ series is expected to include two 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models, including the ‌iPhone 14‌, the ‌iPhone 14‌ Max, the ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌, and the ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ Max.
