Although the global smartphone market is lagging, the iPhone 13 continues to sell at a healthy pace. Now, a new report indicates Apple expects its upcoming iPhone 14 to sell even better than the current handset.
A Sina Finance report (via MacRumors) says Apple has begun trial production of the iPhone 14 lineup and plans to begin mass production in August ahead of launch in September. Apple has reportedly informed suppliers that the initial sales of the iPhone 14 will be higher than those of the iPhone 13.
While iPhone sales generally lag in July and August, as customers hold off buying a new handset until new iPhones debut in September, Apple’s iPhone 13 shipments were reported to be higher than the same period in 2021.
An ETNews report says that Samsung expects to ship as many as 80 million displays for the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max in the third quarter of this year.
