As of Thursday, Apple is for the first time selling refurbished Mac Studio models in the United States, Canada, and select European countries, such as Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. (As first noticed by MacRumors)
At the time of this article, one refurbished Mac Studio configuration is currently available in the United States, including one with the M1 Max chip (10-core CPU and 24-core GPU) for $1,799 (down from $1,999 brand new) .
All certified refurbished Macs undergo full functionality testing, are put through a thorough cleaning process and inspection and are repackaged in a new box with manuals and a power cord. Apple’s refurbished products are protected by Apple’s one-year limited warranty and a 14-day return policy allows you to determine if the Mac is the right one for you. Refurbished Macs are eligible for AppleCare+ coverage. AppleCare+ for the Mac Studio is priced at $169 or $59.99 per year.
First released in March 2022, the Mac Studio is available with up to a 20-core CPU and up to a 64-core GPU, making the Mac Studio the fastest Mac ever based on benchmarks.
