Apple on Thursday released a new build (21F2092) of macOS Monterey 12.4 designed for use with upcoming M2 Macs. The first M2 Macs go on sale tomorrow. The new version will only show up for the new Macs, so current Mac owners will not see it.
The macOS Monterey 12.4 update can be downloaded on M2 Macs using the Software Update section of System Preferences.
The 13-inch MacBook Pro with an M2 chip will be available for ordering tomorrow, and delivery to customers will begin on Friday, June 24. Apple has not yet announced a launch date for the M2 MacBook Air. However, it is expected to be introduced sometime in July.
