Developers can now enter a lottery to win attendance to the WWDC 2022 viewing party to be held at Apple Park. Apple is accepting entries via its developer website, through May 11, at 9:00 a.n. Pacific Time.
Developers that score an invite will travel to the Apple Park campus to watch the WWDC 2022 keynote and Platforms State of the Union on Monday, June 6.
We’re hosting a special all-day experience at Apple Park on June 6 to kick off WWDC22. Gather with others in the developer community to watch the keynote and State of the Union videos alongside Apple engineers and experts, explore the all-new Developer Center, and so much more. We can’t wait to connect in person.
The all-day experience at Apple Park will also see developers invited to explore the new dedicated Developer Center at Apple Park. Apple last year announced that it was building a Developer Center on the Apple Park campus, though it did not provide many details about the new center.
Eligibility
Attending this event is free and open to members of the Apple Developer Program and Apple Developer Enterprise Program, and 2022 Swift Student Challenge applicants. Invitations will be allocated through a random selection process and are non-transferrable.
Submit your request May 9 at 9:00 a.m. PT to May 11 at 9:00 a.m. PT.
You’ll be notified of your status by May 12 at 6:00 p.m. PT.
Health and safety
In order to help ensure the health of everyone at Apple Park, attendees must follow Apple’s health and safety protocols, which also take into account the latest requirements and guidance from public health authorities regarding COVID-19. This includes providing proof of a negative COVID-19 test no more than three days before the event. Masks are currently optional. We’ll provide details on the latest requirements to attendees prior to the event.
Until 2020, Apple always hosted its WWDC events at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, with thousands of developers attending each year. It was expected that the 2020 event would be held at the Steve Job Theater at Apple’s new Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California, but the COVID-19 pandemic put the kibosh on that idea, and for the last few years, WWDC has been a free online event.
