The leaker known as “ShrimpApplePro” claims Apple’s upcoming Apple Watch Series 8 could feature an all-new design, featuring a flat display.
In his latest video on the YouTube channel Front Page Tech, Jon Prosser shared information from ShrimpApplePro that suggests the Apple Watch Series 8 could feature a flat display. That design was originally rumored for the Apple Watch Series 7.
On Twitter, ShrimpApplePro cited their sources claiming that “there is a flat front glass display” for the Apple Watch and that there is a “high chance that this is the front glass for the Apple Watch Series 8.” The information is similar to the flat-edged Apple Watch design shared by Prosser last year.

Prosser in May 2021 claimed Apple was working on an Apple Watch design that featured flat, squared-off edges. At the time, Prosser suggested that the design could be for the Apple Watch Series 7, but cautioned that it could also be for another future Apple Watch model such as the Series 8.
When the Apple Watch Series 7 debuted in September 2021, it actually featured a more rounded design. However, ShrimpApplePro’s latest tweet indicates that the flatter Series 7-expected design changes are actually destined for the Series 8, which will debut this September.
