Apple on Wednesday seeded the first betas of iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 to developers and public beta testers for testing. The initial beta releases come just two days following the launch of iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5.
Beta builds of iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 are available to developers through the Apple Developer Center or over the air on the devices with the proper configuration installed.
We don’t currently know exactly what features and fixes might be included in 15.6. However, Apple has introduced all of the features that had been announced for version 15, so this update could be just bug and performance fixes, as Apple is likely gearing down on iOS and iPadoS 15 development, and is instead focusing on readying the initial betas of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 for their debut at WWDC 2022 in June.
We’ll keep you posted if we hear of any new features or important fixes.
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver iPhone or iPad. Instead, only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
