Apple’s new Mac Studio isn’t officially available to the public until this Friday, March 18, but a French Apple fan was able to score his new Mac Studio on Tuesday due to a store error.
As reported by Mac4Ever, an unnamed store sold the Mac Studio to the customer early, and he has shared photos of the new device. (Additional photos are available on the Mac4Ever website.)
Apple does its best to prevent products from getting into customers’ hot little hands early. However, retailers have been known to make mistakes when it comes to release dates. As recently as May, a customer was able to grab an M1 iPad Pro several days before its official release.
The Mac Studio will officially begin arriving at customers’ homes, and will be in select Apple Store locations and Apple Authorized Resellers, beginning Friday, March 18.
Mac Studio starts at $1,999 (US), and $1,799 (US) for education. Additional configure-to-order options are available at apple.com/store.
