iPhone SE 3 Geekbench Score Shows Similar Performance as the iPhone 13, Features 4GB of RAM

An early Geekbench score for the upcoming third-generation iPhone SE shows performance results similar to the iPhone 13. Both smartphones are equipped with 4GB of RAM.

The Geekbench benchmarking tool compares the performance of smartphones and other devices. The “iPhone14,6” (the iPhone SE 3 internal identifier) scored 1695 in a single-core while it scored 4021 in a multi-core test.

For comparison’s sake, the iPhone 13 mini earned a 1686 single-core score and a 4489 multi-core score. The Geekbench test shows that both phones boast 4GB of RAM. The iPhone SE 2020, was equipped with 3GB of RAM.

These scores indicate that the GPU from the A15 Bionic chip used in the iPhone SE 3 is the same as the one used in the iPhone 13 line, which features four cores. The iPhone 13 Pro has an extra core for the GPU as well as more RAM.

This news should help push iPhone SE sales, even though the new handset lacks any earthshaking new features.

The new iPhone SE starts at $429, up from $399 on the 2020 model, and is available with 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB of storage. It will be available for pre-order this Friday, March 11, with availability beginning Friday, March 18.
