The Beatles’ Compilation Album ‘1’ Remastered for Spatial Audio on Apple Music by Giles Martin

The Beatles’ compilation album “1” has been remastered for Spatial Audio on Apple Music. The remastering was performed by Giles Martin, son of the famed Beatles producer George Martin.

While Giles Martin has praised Spatial Audio and the Dolby Atmos technology that it uses, he has said that it doesn’t always “sound quite right.” Martin had previously stated that he intends to remaster The Beatles album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.” However, his first remastering job is “1” instead.

As reported by Engadgetthe compilation of Beatles hits has been entirely remastered by Martin. And the Apple Music listing confirms this.

The Beatles’ 1 was originally released in 2000 and quickly became the fastest-selling album of all time. Featuring 27 of the band’s most significant singles—all of which reached No. 1 in the US or UK charts—this updated edition now features brand-new mixes from Giles Martin, in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos.

This new Spatial Audio edition of “The Beatles” album “1” is now available for streaming on Apple Music.
