Apple on Tuesday released new 4E64 firmware for the Beats Fit Pro headphones that debuted last November. The earbuds will be updated from the 4B65 firmware that was released at the end of November.
Apple does not announce what fixes or new features are included in the new firmware release, so we don’t know what the update brings.
There isn’t any way to manually update the firmware of the Beats Fit Pro headphones, and the new software will be installed over the air while they are connected via Bluetooth to an iOS device.
If you place the Beats Fit Pro in their case, connect them to a power source, and then pair them to an iPhone or iPad, they should update after a short period of time.
The $199.99 Beats Fit Pro are some of Apple’s latest Beats earbuds. They are equipped with wingtips that flex to fit your ear, better keeping the buds in your ears. They include a charging case and multiple sizes of silicone tips. They also support Active Noise Cancellation, spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, and an H1 chip for “Hey Siri” support.
If any notable changes in the new firmware are discovered, we’ll post them in this space.
