Spring Apple Media Event Invites Could Go Out on Tuesday

Invitations for Apple’s much-anticipated spring media even could go out on Tuesday, according to recent reports. The event will be a digital-only event, as have Apple events over the past two years.

Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman reiterated his previous claims that Apple will host a special event on Tuesday, March 8. Since Apple traditionally sends out invitations one week before the event occurs, Tuesday, March 1 is the likely invitation date. Apple usually sends them at 9 am PST.

Last year’s spring event was actually held in April, but Apple has usually opted for a March date for such events. The event is expected to mark the debut of redesigned versions of the iPhone SE and the iPad Air. Apple is also expected to unveil a new Apple Silicon-powered Mac.

Apple recently filed three new Mac models, one iPad, and one iPhone in the Eurasian Economic Database, which indicates an impending launch of the new devices.

The new iPhone SE is expected to resemble 2020’s iPhone SE, which has a look similar to the iPhone 8. The device’s internals will be upgraded, boasting an A15 Bionic chip, an improved rear camera, and 5G connectivity.

As for the new Mac unveiling, at least one new Mac with Apple-designed chips is expected to make a debut. Numerous rumors have indicated that the new Mac will be a high-end version of the Mac mini. However, a refreshed 13-inch MacBook Pro has also been rumored.

We may also see iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 make a debut at the event, meaning a March release for Apple’s mobile operating system updates.
