Latest HomePod 15.4 Beta Adds Dutch Language Voice Recognition

Apple’s latest HomePod 15.4 beta adds Dutch language voice recognition support for Siri. Apple appears to be readying the HomePod mini for a Netherlands release in the near future. Siri added Dutch language support for Siri in December.

The new voice recognition feature, which was first spotted by iCulture, will allow a HomePod or HomePod mini to identify who is speaking to it in a Dutch-speaker multi-person household. This will allow the device to make personalized requests based on user data.

In addition to the Netherlands, the HomePod mini is also expected to launch this year in at least four additional countries, including Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, and Russia. Those countries’ languages were all added in the December update along with Dutch.

The ‌HomePod mini‌ is currently available in the United States, Australia, Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.
