Apple Releases iOS 15.3.1 and iPadOS 15.3.1 to Public – Brings Security Updates and Bug Fixes

Apple on Thursday released iOS 15.3.1 and iPadOS 15.3.1, the third major update for the operating systems for iPhone and iPad devices, respectively. The updates come two weeks after the release of iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3.

The new software can be downloaded on eligible devices over-the-air by going to “Settings” -> “General” -> “Software Update.”

Apple’s release notes say iOS 15.3.1 and iPadOS 15.3.1 fix an issue that could cause Braille displays to stop responding. The updates also include important security fixes for both the iPhone and the iPad. Apple’s security support document says the update addresses a WebKit bug that could allow maliciously crafted web content to lead to arbitrary code execution.
