AT&T Announces Upgraded Fiber Internet Plans – Speeds Up to 5 Gigabits for Some Customers

AT&T today announced the launch of new AT&T Fiber plans, offering up to 5 Gigabits for some customers. Two new plans are available, a 2 Gigabit plan and a 5 Gigabyte plan. The new plans will be available to both new and current subscribers.

AT&T days the new plans are available to nearly 5.2 million customers across 70 metro areas including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Raleigh, Miami, and Dallas. A full list is available on AT&T’s website.

As far as pricing goes, Fiber 2 GIG is priced at $110 per month plus taxes, while the 5 GIG plan will set you back to the tune of $180 per month plus taxes.

AT&T is putting in place a new “straightforward pricing” policy, which means there are no equipment fees, no annual contract, no data caps, and no price increase at 12 months These new plans include AT&T ActiveArmor internet security, “next-gen WiFi support,” and HBO Max.

AT&T has plans to cover 30 million customer locations by the end of 2025.

It sounds as if more speed is in the future for AT&T users, as the provider says it has achieved up to 10-Gig speeds in its labs.
