Apple Seeds First Beta of macOS Monterey 12.3 to Developers For Testing

Apple on Thursday seeded the first beta release of macOS Monterey 12.3 to developers for testing. The first beta comes one day after the release of macOS Monterey 12.2.

The developer build of macOS Monterey 12.3 can be downloaded through the Apple Developer Center and once the correct profile is installed, succeeding betas will be available through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences.

We don’t know much about what new features or fixes are in the 12.3 betas, but we do know that iPadOS 15.4 and macOS Monterey 12.3 finally enable the Universal Control feature, which is designed to allow you to use a single cursor and keyboard to control the iPads and Macs that are signed in to your iCloud account.

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
