Apple Seeds Second Betas of iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2 to Developers for Testing

Apple on Tuesday seeded the second betas of iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2 to developers. The beta releases comes one week after the first beta releases.

Beta builds of iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2 are available to developers through the Apple Developer Center or over the air on the devices with the proper configuration installed.

iOS and iPadOS 15.2 add support for App Privacy Report, which allows users to see how often apps are accessing sensitive info granted to them through privacy permissions, such as location, camera, microphone, and contacts.

iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 introduced the Record App Activity feature, allowing people to save a summary of sensor, data, and internet access from apps on their device.

iOS 15.2 beta 2 adds Appleā€™s Messages Communication Safety feature for kids, and a modified Notification Summary.

An update to Emergency SOS Auto Call feature allows it to be enabled by pressing on the side button rapidly or holding down the side button and the volume button together. A longer eight-second countdown (up from three seconds) now gives users more time to cancel an accidental dial.

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver iPhone or iPad. Instead, only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
