Leaker Dylandkt claims the next-generation MacBook Air will adopt several features from Apple’s upcoming MacBook Pro models. Dylandkt has a track record of providing accurate predictions about Apple’s plans.
Dylandkt says upcoming MacBook Air models will sport a design similar to the new MacBook Pros, but they will be thinner, boast off-white bezels, and no wedge shape. Color options will be similar to those available for the 24-inch iMac. The keyboard will be the same off-white color as the bezels, and the new Air will feature full-sized function keys and a 1080p webcam.
Two things missing from the new MacBook Air that is included on the new MacBook Pro models are the SD card slot and HDMI port. The MacBook Air will use a next-generation M2 chip, which will not be as powerful as the M1 Pro and M1 Max, as the MacBook Air is a lower-power device. Dylandkt says a mini-LED display is “likely.”
Recent rumors suggest the next-generation MacBook Air will be released in mid-to-late 2022.
