Apple today seeded the first beta of macOS Monterey 12.1 to developers for testing. The new beta comes just a few days after the release of macOS Monterey 12 to the public.
The developer build of macOS Monterey 12.1 can be downloaded through the Apple Developer Center and once the correct profile is installed, succeeding betas will be available through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences.
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
Apple’s release notes say the update enables support for graphics cards using the AMD Radeon 6600XT GPU. No other new features were mentioned aside from bug fixes. We’ll update this article if we hear of anything else new.
