The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, previously only available with the purchase of a new 24-inch iMac, is now available for purchase individually for $149.
Touch ID is built into the keyboard, allowing users of the M1 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini the convenience of using Touch ID with an external keyboard.
The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and a numeric keyboard is also available for $179. The standard Magic Keyboard (sans Touch ID) is available for $99, and Apple’s new Magic Trackpad goes for $129.
Be aware that Apple says the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID is only supported on Apple silicon Macs running macOS 11.4 or later, so keep that in mind.
The two Magic Keyboard with Touch ID models begins shipping today, alongside the new Magic Trackpad. Both can be purchased on Apple’s website. All of the new accessories are available only in silver. All other color options are restricted to the 24-inch iMac.
