Apple on Wednesday seeded the fifth public betas of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8, and tvOS 15 to public beta testers. The fifth public betas come one week after the release of the fourth public betas.
Public builds of iOS 15, iPadOS 15 can be downloaded via the Apple Beta Software Program website by users signed up to take part in the testing program. If you’re interested in trying out the betas of the upcoming operating systems you can sign up for the program by clicking the same link.
The watchOS 8 update can be installed after upgrading your iPhone to the iOS 15 public beta. After installing iOS 15, the proper watchOS 8 profile from Apple’s beta software website must also be installed.
The software can be accessed by going to General -> Software Update in the Apple Watch app on iPhone. To update, Apple Watch needs to have at least 50% battery life, it must be on the charger, and it must be in the range of the iPhone.
Public beta testers can download the tvOS 15 beta update by opening up the Settings app on the Apple TV, navigating to the Software Updates section under “System,” and then toggling “Get Public Beta Updates” to “on” after signing up to beta test on Apple’s public beta website.
Registered Public Beta Testers can download and install the macOS 12 Monterey beta through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences after installing the proper profile.
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Apple TV, instead only install betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
