A reporter from The Verge says Apple is now asking employees to disclose their vaccination status at certain company locations.
The Verge reporter Zoe Schiffer tweeted that Apple has handed out guidance on vaccinations as the company prepares to bring more employees into the office. The Cupertino tech firm wants to know whether returning staff have been vaccinated to keep any possible viral transmission at a minimum.
Here's the guidance for Apple employees: "Apple is asking our team members in certain locations to share their current vaccination status. You can confidentially share whether you’re fully vaccinated, have had a partial dose, are not vaccinated, or do not wish to share."

From Apple's internal HR site: “If you don’t provide your vaccination status, your vaccination status is assumed to be unvaccinated…If you’re not fully vaccinated and working onsite in an Apple building, additional health and safety protocols may apply.”

“Apple is asking our team members in certain locations to share their current vaccination status. You can confidentially share whether you’re fully vaccinated, have had a partial dose, are not vaccinated, or do not wish to share,” Apple’s guidance reads, sayso Schiffer.
It should be noted that Apple is not barring workers who have not received a vaccine dose from entering its facilities. The Cupertino tech firm wants to know whether returning staff have been vaccinated to keep any possible viral transmission at a minimum.
The news comes a day after Apple CEO Tim Cook said the tech firm is considering a vaccine requirement for its workforce. Cook told CNBC that Apple is “monitoring things daily to really conclude whether that is the right answer or not.”
Apple had planned to bring employees back to offices in September but has delayed any such move until at least October, as the delta variant of the virus has begun to spread around the globe. Apple has also been faced with pushback from employees that want to continue to work from home.
On Wednesday it was reported that Apple is once again requiring masks at approximately half of its U.S. Apple Store locations.
