AT&T Announces It is Dropping Data Throttling for Unlimited Elite Customers, Adding 40GB Hotspot Data and 4K HBO Max

AT&T on Monday announced a set of new features for its Unlimited Elite customers. Unlimited Elite is the carrier’s highest service tier and is the most expensive data plan.

The carrier will no longer slow down Unlimited Elite customers’ data speeds during peak times after they hit a 100GB data cap. UE customers will continue to enjoy high-speed data no matter how much data they have used.

In addition, AT&T is also increasing mobile hotspot data from 30GB to 40GB. To help use that additional 10GB of mobile hotspot data, AT&T is also allowing HBO Max, which is included in the Ultimate Elite plan, to be streamed in 4K resolution.

Unlimited Elite customers can also download the free AT&T Mobile Security app to enable ActiveArmor advanced security features like identity monitoring, safe browsing, and more.

These new features will be automatically rolling out to all Unlimited Elite customers this week.
