Apple has seeded the release candidates of tvOS 14.7 and watchOS 7.6 to developers for testing. The release candidates come one week after the release of the fifth betas.
The tvOS 14.7 Release Candidate is compatible with fourth and fifth-generation Apple TV models. The RC can be downloaded to a compatible Apple TV that has the proper profile installed.
The watchOS 7.6 RC can be installed on an Apple Watch with the proper configuration profile installed, via the Watch app on the device’s attached iPhone. Go to “General” -> “Software Update” to install the new software. The Watch should have at least 50% battery life, be connected to a charger, and be in the range of the iPhone.
watchOS 7.6 is compatible with Apple Watch Series 3, Apple Watch Series 4, Apple Watch Series 5, or Apple Watch Series 6 paired with an iPhone 6s or later running iOS 14 or later.
According to Apple’s release notes for the update, watchOS 7.6 adds support for the ECG app and irregular heart rhythm notifications in 30 additional regions.
At the time of this article, we don’t know for sure what’s new in the tvOS 14.7 update, but we’ll post an update in this post if we hear anything.
