A new Russian-language regulatory filing in the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) database discovered by Nashville Chatter Class points to several models of the iPhone 13 being readied for a fall launch.
Versions of iPhone running iOS 14 with the model numbers A2628, A2630, A2634, A2635, A2640, A2643, and A2645 are listed. None of the model numbers match up to models in Apple’s existing smartphone lineup.
The EEC filing, which was published on Friday, satisfies Russia’s requirement for companies to register all products containing encryption and/or cryptographic tools.
In previous years, we have seen several new models of iPhone and Mac registered with the EEC and the device have turned out to jibe with later device launches.
Apple’s 2021 iPhone 13 lineup is due to debut in September and is expected to externally resemble the iPhone 12 lineup, at least externally. The new handsets include sizes of 5.4-inches, 6.1-inches, and 6.7-inches, with two of the iPhones being designated higher-end “Pro” models, with the other two being positioned as lower-cost devices.
While no major changes are expected, the new iPhones will boast improved battery life, a faster A-series processor, a new Qualcomm 5G chip, camera improvements, and more.
