Apple to Cut Apple TV+ Free Trial to Three Months Beginning July 1

Since its debut, Apple has offered a one-year free trial of Apple TV+ when you purchase any Mac, iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV purchase. That promotion is coming to an end on June 30, and from July 1 on, the free trial period will be reduced to three months with the purchase of an eligible device. Apple broke the news on its website.

Apple has offered the Apple TV+ one-year free trial since the service’s launch in 2019. While the service doesn’t come close to offering the same amount of content as some competitors, such as Netflix and Hulu, it does offer a number of popular shows, including “The Morning Show,” “Ted Lasso,” and “For All Mankind.”

Apple offered the one-year trial to lure in long-term subscribers as it built its content library. Apple now apparently feels its content library is now large enough to offer shorter free trials.

If you haven’t enabled your free trial yet, you are strongly advised to do so before the end of June, so you can score the full one-year free trial.
