Apple Surveys Developers to Determine If They Would Support Return to In-Person WWDC

After two years of virtual Worldwide Developers Conferences, Apple is asking members of the developer community if they would be open to returning to an in-person format for the annual conference. The Cupertino firm asked developers the question as part of its annual conference-ending survey.

One of the questions asked as part of this year’s end of WWDC survey reads, “How likely would you be to attend an in-person conference after experiencing an all-online event?”

During the global pandemic, Apple has held its formerly in-person WWDC event in an all-digital format for the past two years. The digital format has so far been appreciated by the developer community, due to its being free-of-charge and offers access to developers that normally could not participate in the conference.

Now, as the world begins to “get back to normal,” Apple is obviously considering a return to an in-person conference next year while possibly still keeping some digital event features.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has previously reported that Apple is considering a return to in-person events
