Apple has released new firmware for its AirPods Max high-end over-the-ear headphones. The new firmware, designated “3E756,” is the third firmware release since the headphones’ initial December release. The new firmware replaces the 3C39 firmware that was made available in March.
Apple never provides details about what is included in new firmware updates, so it isn’t known for sure what bug fixes or improvements that the new firmware might include. However, we will report anything we hear, in this space.
There isn’t any way to manually update the firmware of the earbuds, and the new software will eventually be automatically installed over the air while the AirPods Max are connected to an iOS device.
