Apple on Tuesday released the second betas of iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 to developers for testing. The new beta brought several new features, not the least of all which is the ability for Apple Music subscribers to share lyrics as text as well as audio clips containing the sung lyrics.
Developer Federico Viticci discovered the new feature that was not seen in previous versions of iOS 14.5.
While viewing the real-time lyrics of a song that is playing, users can long-press any individual line and share it via the actions menu, where it can be shared in iMessage cards and Instagram Stories.
Viticci says users can also select multiple lines of text from the special share lyrics screen and create longer cards for Instagram/iMessage. (Up to 5 lines.)
