Israeli website The Verifier claims Apple is just a few days away from launching Apple Pay in Israel. The contactless payments service launched in Mexico on Tuesday.
The Verifier reports that Israeli mobile banking service Pepper recently updated its iPhone app. The app’s release notes for the new version indicated that it contained a “surprise” that would be shared at a later time. The app also briefly showed a splash screen with an option to add the Pepper card to the Wallet app for use with Apple Pay. The screen has now apparently been turned off.
Once Apple Pay arrives in their country, users can add their credit or debit card to the service by doing the following:
First introduced in 2014, Apple Pay is now available in over 50 countries or regions around the world.
