Microsoft didn’t announce what type of performance enhancements M1 Mac users might see from the Apple Silicon-optimized version of the Edge browser. However, I’m using the M1 versions of both Google’s Chrome and Mozilla’s Firefox browsers, and they both show an impressive jump in performance. So, the Edge update will likely please users.
Microsoft Edge joins an ever-growing list of popular apps that have been optimized for M1 Macs. Updated apps include Pixelmator Pro, Affinity Designer, BBEdit, Twitter, Adobe Lightroom, and more.
