Apple Seeds First Public Beta of macOS Big Sur 11.2

Apple today seeded the first public beta of macOS Big Sur 11.2 for testing purposes. The new public beta comes one day after the developer beta of the software.

Registered Public Beta Testers can download and install the macOS Big Sur beta through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences after installing the proper profile.

Mac users who want to be a part of Apple’s beta testing program can sign up to participate on the Apple Beta Software Program website, which gives users access to iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS betas.

There’s no word yet on what’s new or fixed in ‌macOS Big Sur‌ 11.2, but it likely includes the usual bug, fixes, performance improvements, security updates, and such that weren’t addressed in version 11.1 of ‌macOS Big Sur‌.

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac, instead only install betas on a Mac set aside for testing purposes.
